Generic OBD2 scanners won't read brake system codes. But most tires shops have a scanner that will do it. If you already have a relationship with one, they probably won't charge you.

Not quite the same as the van but basically this:

Do y'all know if the code will be stored or if it is something that has to be on to be found? It's happened a couple of times since I bought it. Sometimes it's both the traction control and abs. But other times it's just the ABS

Send a message via Yahoo to JWA
If a DTC was triggered it will be in the PCM's memory unless someone has cleared all codes including the ABS DTC's.

If you plug in a scanner that'll read ABS DTC's it will show up whether the dash lamp is lit or not.

Oops, misfire on copy/paste there. What I did was this. Go to Youtube, search for Ford ABS sensor replacement, enjoy results.

My 2010 Ford SMB almost always gets the ABS light on when I drive on seriously dusty roads. Not me gravel roads, but deep dusty one. Then it always clears up once we hit the highway.
