Re: Underfloor storage-aftermarket

I had to check the date on my last posting on this project. I've made some progress but hadn't posted about it till I got more done. I re-positioned the charcoal canister and re-routed the vent hoses. Need to make a full sized mock up before I take the plans to the machine shop. With the temperatures in the 70's today and tomorrow I've been working on some new rust spots. I didn't get it all on my first go around. Today was grinding and rustproofing. Tomorrow is putty and painting. Rust never sleeps.

Today I also figured out how to get my electric lines from the driver's to passenger's side. Was out at Lowe's buying supplies right before they closed tonight.

Re: Underfloor storage-aftermarket

I built a system for an EB van since my last post, here are some pics.

Here are the supports in place, with new x-member welded in

And with the Aluminum bolted up

And the final product. On the skid is a 20 gallon H2O tank, pump, Warn VTC compressor, and 2 deep cycle batteries.

Re: Underfloor storage-aftermarket

I give thanks for extra days off. Used part of mine today to make my underfloor storage box (AKA basement) mockup.

It's laying on it's side. I know it's not pretty but I made it totally from the kinds of scrap pieces I hold onto to use as firewood when I'm camping.
Here's the highly detail plans I was working off of.

The plan is to attach it to the van tomorrow and see how it fits.
