updated price pages and new standards

sportsmobile has updated price pages and made the magnum 2000 pure sine wave inverter/charger standard on all plans.

Re: updated price pages and new standards

I was told the Xantrex prosine 2000 is no longer made. I was lucky to get one a few months back after mine was burned up. Maybe they can get a better deal in bulk. I don't know anything about what they're selling now.

Re: updated price pages and new standards

From the experience we had with the Xantrex on our boat, I think it's probably a good thing they don't make them any more. We had a couple of problems with the unit and dealing with the customer "service" people was a literal nightmare.
The guy in Seattle who we took it to see if he could fix it was a dealer for Xantrex, (or Trace, or whoever owned Xantrex at the time), and also Magnum. He said he would never install another Xantrex. After we switched to Magnum we had no more troubles. (And we didn't have to deal with what was to my mind the worst customer relations department with whom I've ever dealt.)

Re: updated price pages and new standards

I'm really surprised they made the inverter a standard part of the conversion. There are many of us who do not have an inverter and would never want one. Maybe it is an attempt to standardize their electrical wiring as much as possible?

Re: updated price pages and new standards

Had a new Pro Sine 3000 die right after warranty expired. Used it only a few times...

Re: updated price pages and new standards

We use Xantrex in our fleet vehicles and have never had any problems. They're not a Prosine but they have worked well.

But their customer service absolutely is one of the worst and I'll bet SMB agrees. My failure was not due to the inverter itself and the old unit worked fine up to the point it was destroyed.
