Herb
No Herb. It's some kind of cover plate that goes in front of the engine.

Ok I know what the part is now. It's the front engine cover that houses the low pressure oil pump.

Re: Wanted Sportsmobile Tour

Finally found out it's the timing cover. You'd think Ford would work a little harder at getting these manufactured.

Re: Wanted Sportsmobile Tour

If it's the complete assembly you're showing I can see why nobody would do a factory replacement.

Yes, it's the complete assembly. Still waiting (not so patiently).

Re: Wanted Sportsmobile Tour

My incident happened quite a while ago but I just had the bullet proof job done over the last few weeks. Just moved it to SMB for some suspension work, namely to try and figure out why the sway bar disconnect pin on the passenger side keeps shearing off. Hopefully I'll get it back next week sometime.

The fact is I've had my van in the shop for upgrades way more than engine failures. The problem is when you have to wait for parts like what Escape is going through.

Hopefully it won't be much longer. Having to ride our dual sports instead. Let's do plan a get together. I've seen several in the area.

Look what we have! Thanks to our local Ford dealer. Hoping to have our SMB back early next week. Let the fun begin!
