What is this switch for?

I have a group of switches in the lower-left corner of the driver's side dash right above the parking brake. I have figured out what 3 of the for things are for but can't figure out one of the switches. I believe that they were all installed by Sportsmobile so I am hoping that someone else has this configuration and can give me a clue. I have pulled the dash panel off to try and trace the wire but it goes into a hive of wires and tracing is not possible. Any ideas?

This is on a 2001 E350 EB50 V10 PH.

Can someone solve this mystery?

Passenger seat eject button. Useful for the many occassions where a significant other might warrant you engaging it...

Kidding aside, just wondering if you have the build sheet from SMB that might offer clues. If not, that is also where I would go for info. It is nice to have, regardless.

Wonder if it was for rear fog/spot lights? The lights could have been removed as well.

Or maybe a light bar that the PO kept/took off?

Righto....maybe instead of tracing the wire from the switch that goes into the nest behind the dash, try looking on the undercarriage or in the usual places for a wire(s) where a light or set of lights may have been mounted, likely in a bundle and zip tied. Any evidence of brackets or mounts from lights or a light bar? I have both fogs and driving lights, light bar, rock lights and roof rack pod lights.....

Is this toggle in "Big Red"? If so, looks like its a well appointed Van...even though the switch looks like it belongs to lights, do you by chance have an air compressor mounted underneath the chassis?

Yes, this is "Big Red". There is no air compressor under the van. I have been under the van extensively for battery replacement, propane refurbish, replacing trans cooler lines and I am in the process of cleaning and treating the undercarriage. I probably have logged 10+ hours on my back under the van and have not discovered any abandoned wiring. There is no evidence of additional lights other than the KC bumper inset lights and the rear bumper inset reverse lights that I have identified switches for. This is driving me crazy. I am curious what a build sheet looks like. Can anyone post up what this is and can I still request one from SMB for a 2001? It would be super cool if it is a passenger seat eject button!

Could be a lot of things. I've got a non functioning switch or two on my control panel. Lights, audio amps, compressors for tires or lockers or maybe a Starcool switch come to mind. I've got a switch to kill an inclinometer alarm. It doesn't look like typical SMB parts but many owners supply their own as I did for specific circuits.

Neon underglow? It was popular in 2001...

Actually, now that I think of it......a soft glow might be kind of nice in camp.
