Re: What tools, equipment do you carry?

A Phillips AED is $1229 from Amazon and would be a great Christmas present.

A shameless plug---- If you order from this Amazon link, the AED price will be the same but my blogsite will get credit.

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...SIN=B00064CED6

If you get one, and want to take a CPR/AED course (you should) don't schedule it until you get the AED as it has coupons inside to get courses at a discount. I didn't know that and paid $60 for the American Red Cross course.

Regards,

Keith

PS. The Phillips site (http://www.heartstarthome.com/conten...t_featured.asp) offers the HeartStart for $1299 but you can break it down to 10 no interest payments.

Re: What tools, equipment do you carry?

Great question .. perfect topic. I was just thinking I have to make a list and figure out what I need to carry on a regular basis and voila! .. here it is.

Thx for all the answers.

I would add ....... a big-bore wheel gun and a 12 guage coach shotgun .. only when camping and obey all state, federal and local laws.

I also carry a couple of unread books by Clive Cussler. After I read them I can use the paper for other purposes.

For all of you that are anti-firearm, such as my wife, we have a taser/ stun gun that we carry with us on our trips. I know its not as good as a 12 guage or a 9mm, but it is a good compromise for my wife and myself. We got ours for less than $400. Better this than my fists of fury! IMO.

Re: What tools, equipment do you carry?

Hey Ray,

Do you think that would slow a bear? I carry a 9mm but it really isn't much good (so I'm told) against a bear.

Regards,

Keith

Re: What tools, equipment do you carry?

No need for all this in Europe bears are to far and few between
The most dangerous item on board might be the axe for splitting wood
