I have a DIY van that I did the interior on. After lots of use, including a few month long trips, I've found too many flaws in my setup. Most of it is on / under the bed.
Before I added the bed:

Here are the issues:
Lots of unused space under the bed.
Power center under bed.
Water tank freezes in cold temps.
12" of unused space on drivers side of the bed.
Bed is too high.
Looking at this pic, it looks like the batteries, power center and some storage is up front. Kinda like a Westy would be.
How is this setup?
Plans for new setup:
New bed frame made of steel instead of tall 2x4's.
Lower bed to couch height.
Put batteries inside of van, not under.
Build a cabinet unit on driver side of the bed. Full height.
Move power center up front under the bed.
Full length drawers (like truck bed drawers) under bed.
Can you guys show pics / tell me how its setup?
