Re: Where can I find this?
That is my van and my picture and the cabinet on the door came from Sportsmobile West when they did the initial build. You can find it on their website.
The tent in back is a Kelty car port that I picked up at an outdoor store. REI carries them too. I use it sometimes for privacy. It is the large Kelty car port. You can either have it deployed like I do in the pic or it comes with legs so it can act as an awning as well. Very handy and useful.

Re: Where can I find this?
I call it the side door pantry, best feature of an SMB in my opinion.
Please keep in mind the following applies to the whole site:

You may post publicly photos and information for purposes of improving, comparison, issue resolution, or repair, you may also privately pursue such information- however blatant requests for and public posting of images and specifications for the express purpose of reproduction or deconstruction will not be tolerated and will result in warnings or suspension from the forum.

Re: Where can I find this?
AH... Is it an item that can be ordered independently? I just really like the idea.
No intention of stealing designs or such. Just looking at pictures and I agree it is an awesome feature and dream of having one of my own.

Re: Where can I find this?
The only thing I can think is shipping might kill you. It's not light.
Also, call all 3 SMB locations... the answers will vary between them.

Might not be impossible to find in a junkyard if you're in the midwest either.

Re: Where can I find this?
Why not have a cabinate shop make one? Do your own design suited to you. Just don't post an exact copy on this site.
Be aware on most vans there is storage space behind the box in the doors. It swings open to access the storage area plus the box can be lifted off to set on the table...never have done it yet. You could possible order the hinges from SMB. The storage behind box in the door is very important to me. That's the only reason I would want it on hinges.
