I'm w/ you on this. Bid low, factor what could go wrong and see if the price could cover. If you're up for the worst case scenario (time, money, effort and stress), then go for it. Just my opinion, and of course it's a gamble.

I took on a project. There were some set-backs/challenges and stresses, but I'm thrilled with the way it turned out. I estimate to be in for about ½ the cost of it if it were pristine when I got it.

Its not the MA one. I put an offer on it. We'll see. Guy noticably avoided any response to my concerns about the trans, ever during phone discussions. At 85k miles, its a good bet its hatched or ready to hatch. Looks rather trashed, but nothing throwing gobs of money at it won't fix. Color's purdy. Wish me luck.
