Re: Winter Camping and Schralping

SO went up on Saturday and spent the night in the Van. The Lady, dog, and I all stayed warm and everything worked as it should We are now planning a trip from Seattle to Big WHite then on to Revelstoke over the MLK weekend. That i say will be the true test so any tips on those areas such as parking overnight etc would be great. Probably going to need to add another propane heater to suppliment the Cat heater. It did ok but there is alot of air inside that van that needs to be heated. Also how does one go about drying clothes out when they come back from a day out. Seems like the van would need to be started and run the regular heat system. Thanks again for any input you guys/gals are great

Re: Winter Camping and Schralping

The best way to dry out the ski clothes is near the fireplace at the bar. THEN return to the van. Or run the motor in the morning to dry off the windows.

Silver Star near Vernon, BC used to have an RV campground within walking distance of their hot tub and swimming pool. When the exchange rate was low, we stayed there for 13USD per night, and a propane truck even came up to top off our tank.
