Wish we had Iveco 4x4 as an option in the US

These look like excellent 4x4 camper options. Saw this one in Iceland:

We saw and older one in Alaska earlier this year that kinda looked like this, but with a pop top.

When I got home I started looking them up and found this one on the interwebs that I thought was pretty cool looking:

Those are sweet, and I've heard they are uber capable. I wish we could get em.

I really want one. Amazing capability, and it's even got an air seat!

And now for some serious articulation, albeit in a full camper model! Can your SMB do this?

Hi.
Iveco have a great chassis and very strong 4×4 system.

However, they are very pricey $65-90,000 here, depending on options & configeration.

Cheers Doug

Re: Wish we had Iveco 4x4 as an option in the US

Hi,

Imagine this under your van:

"comes factory standard with full time 4wd , Rear, Center and Front Hydraulic Diff Locks, Quad range transfer case 1:1, 1:1.3, 1:3, 1:3.9 , 6 speed ZF manual gearbox, (giving 101:1 low low 1st - twice as low as any other 4x4 ) 3.0 L EEV (Euro5) Twin Turbo Diesel, 400Nm / 170 hp , Long Travel Parabolic leaf springs,..."

Yup 101:1 1st gear.

Read this page for the most amazing customer service story ever: (Scroll to the bottom for it.)

http://www.goingbush.com/iveco.html

Also check out the videos including a suspension cam.

Tough truck direct from the factory.

Regards,

Gavin

that customer service story is amazing, wish they had included a diagnosis of the cause of failure.

Re: Wish we had Iveco 4x4 as an option in the US

Failure to read the owner's manual a likely cause.

I can't count the times I've read online forums with questions about why a 4wd vehicle feels funny in sharp turns at low speed on smooth pavement. READ THE OWNER'S MANUAL!

Vent over.

Regards,

Gavin
