Re: XL Storage Compartment
The lock I have on mine is something I added -- sorry for the confusion.

My RB underfloor storage access hole dimensions match yours.
I believe the underfloor storage is actually smaller on the EB than on the RB -- something about the way the frame/supports underneath are arranged (on the Ford van body).

Re: XL Storage Compartment
OK,,, hang on.... I have a sprained knee and don't want to go measure and get photos, but, are we all talking about the XL Storage compartment?
Geoff, that photo looks much smaller inside than the XL that we have.
Aren't there two different size underfloor storage boxes?
I assumed they would be regular and XL.
and also two different size openings depending on RB or EB ?

Re: XL Storage Compartment
From my experience, all the EB vans with underfloor storage I've seen have smaller openings than the one in my RB.
Sorry, I didn't think the "XL" meant anything. Aren't all of Sportsmobile's underfloor storage options called "XL"? I hadn't seen any references to a "regular" underfloor storage option.
And, now that I think about it, I believe mine is also sloped at the rear like the one on the bottom of this page: http://www.sportsmobile.com/1_options.html
And it says, "Other smaller and less expensive under floor compartments are also available..."

Re: XL Storage Compartment
Yes, our EB is supposed to have a smaller opening do to an additional cross member.

I'm assuming you mean the space between the lips, not including the lips. Correct? :-)

That's what I have on my RB, 17¾" x 20¾" of access space between the lips.

Re: XL Storage Compartment
I guess that I should have said: EXCLUDING the lips -
Sorry,

Re: XL Storage Compartment
Dou, I don't think you have the optional locking steel door. I do, and it's heavier and more secure.

Re: XL Storage Compartment
I just measured our XL Storage compartment.... it is 29 x 31 ... with no interior shelf.
I think there are two sizes of underfloor storage boxes.
