Yakima roof racks

I'm looking for some information from those of you with the Yakima roof racks. How do you remove the towers from the rails? I bought my SMB used, so I don't know if there's a special "key" that's needed. I do not have the towers with a regular key that locks. I have a plastic plug that covers what appears to be a female type of socket. I was wondering if there's a male "key" that's used to loosen the socket and therefore the tower?

No problem, I had been searching for electronic copies of instructions for all the items on the SMB a while back, so I knew they had one online. I would say the forum is always a good place to ask, I know I learn a lot just reading this forum.

The "Library" of links/documents is a great idea. Maybe my lazieness will pay off for everybody.

Yes, I agree that sounds like a good idea; I even have converted the Sportsmobile Manual into a word doc. I have about 20MB of data, just need to find a place to put it. Linking to manufacturersâ€™ sites would probably cover 70%, the others I had to scan in. I will look into it.

Great! PDF'ing ought to convert that down to about 5MB if someone has the high end Acrobat that can do a good job on the images...
