Cell phones can be turned on remotely by the carrier at the request of law enforcement, but I don't believe it's possible, or of any use, if the cell phone battery is dead.

I think you should call the police and report it, and also contact the owner of the van** so she can pass the info on to her local law enforcement.

I received that e-mail but we sold Yellow Fella long time ago, so you might want to resend it to Joice.

We had to - we moved to Hong Kong in early 2008 and didn't think it was fair to YF to sit in garage and wait for our return in some unforeseen future...
