How'd you manage to install the 'headliner' on your top?

I glued 3/4 inch thick wood strips on to the fiberglass using Marine adhesive from the depot. Liquid Nails adhesive does not stick to fiberglass.

I used thin "Luan" plywood as a backing board and very short panhead screws.

I used the cheap gray carpet rolls from the depot and their strongest spray adhesive.

The 4 ft long ceiling panels were installed first and then the carpet was applied to the ceiling. The width was determined by using a 2 inch wide strip of the luan ply and bent into the arc of the top.

A line drawn down the center of the ceiling and down the center of the carpet helped align the large awkward to handle piece. Easier to do with a helper.

The side panels were carpeted before installation.
All the materials came from the depot.

If you need clarification or additional pictures, PM me.
