Re: Van Build about to start....

I love driving that exact loop, Jan and I were there the weekend before and it was 75 degrees. I'm suprised there wasn't a CHP Chain Control set up at the south end of the Sunrise Hwy and a lot more people.

There were not many people but there was chain control at the 8 connect.

Re: Van Build about to start....

I have to give Isotherm a big hand. Ordered a Cruise 130 ASU from a local vendor and when we pulled it out of the box it had a long scratch on the door. Needed to use it that weekend so I installed it for use and called the local vendor on Monday to discuss. Drove down and showed them and they said they would call Isotherm for a response. I asked if they were to replace the door if they could send the reverse opening as I decided to move the fridge to the other side of the van.

One week later a new door arrived in reverse opening format.

There could have been many different outcomes to this but the best possible ending occurred.

Its always nice to hear about a company that still believes in customer service.

Finally got the back windows put in on both sides. Wish I would have done it earlier. Really like what they add to the view while inside the van.

The inside is slowly coming along and will post more photos soon. Waited till Expo to see what else I wanted to add before finalizing the interior.

You van looks better and better all the time... I am sure your decision to do the interior based on you camping needs is a good idea...
I have really enjoyed your build and your fantastic photos...thanks for taking the time to share them with all of us...

Adding the windows shure helps break up all that white paint. I'm really amazed how often I look through the rear drivers side window when I'm changing lanes. My work trucks dont have side or back windows so I'm used to using the mirrors for everything. Having the rear side windows is nice.

Re: Van Build about to start....

I am thinking about one more window on the driver side now. Even though it will be partially covered up by the fridge the any extra window is important to me.

Side Story: Window install people used a grinder to cut the windows out. Grinder dust landed all over the outside of the van and rusted over the weekend. Some of the sparks landed on both front seats and burned holes in them and destroyed one of my side mirrors. Met with the company yesterday and they stated they will take care of everything. We will see how it plays out.....

Battery and Pulley system installed.

The battery and pulley system was completed today making it much easier to service and remove the battery. Place a block of wood under the tray when it's in the full down position and the battery lays right on top of it.
