I'm not aware of that feature in the 7611 (there are other models) but I imagine in a pinch you could flip open cover and jumper across terminals to tie both banks together.

My furnace problem was the pressure regulator at the tank was gunked up and not releasing sufficient propane for the furnace, especially at altitude.
