Re: rear bench seat safety harness

Right now I am using the electric seat/bed that came with my van. No headrests but a very tall seat that works for a headrest for my smaller son. I do have shoulder belts for the two outboard...

1995 E150 wheel specs Or stock Ford 5x5.5 x16 steels 4 sale?

I know that wheels and tyres are a tricky topic to bring up but I have a recently discovered problem on my new, to me, 1995 E150 Quigley. And I have searched but could not get any specifications,...

Re: rear bench seat safety harness

Another thing to consider beyond the Shoulder belts is headrests. Having a headrest decreases the chance of neck injuries in an MVA by 40%. I think it is seriously remiss of SMB not to have these...

Re: Future of Full Size ford Vans

Also found this on Wikipedia which makes all this debate a bit clearer, assuming we can trust Wikipedia... Answers the question pretty clearly for once.

Re: Future of Full Size ford Vans

Andrew, unfortunately passenger vehicles with a separate chassis are going to go the way of the solid rubber tyre and the leather clutch. They are expensive to make, not as safe as unit-body...

Re: Future of Full Size ford Vans

If you stop and think about it for a second, the only reason why we have 4wd vans here is because after-market companies stepped in and filled the gap. It has nothing to do with Ford, they never ...

Re: Building a platform for the bed - Hexcel?

Sandi, try this for finished panels and poke around the net a bit, you'll find all you need.

Re: mounting solar panels to thule rack?

I'm curious about all these mounting systems. Are they not very noisy at highway speeds or is it not enough to worry about? Also down here in NM where shade is at a premium in the summer, I am...

Re: SMB - will they do minimal build on already-owned E-350?

I had a similar request for my '95 quigley and SMB Texas was very responsive and helpful. So far I have just added the PH and bed, once I sell my VW camper I will have them add the interior storage...

Re: Top Heavy Question

The most interesting way I have seen this tested is to get a forklift and a big safety strap. Load the van up, lift it up with the forklift and keep lifting 'till it flops over the balance point onto...

Re: Building a platform for the bed - Hexcel?

Since they use nomex foam and aluminum sandwich for the floors of helicopters and commercial jets as well as load bearing panels for other structures, such as boats and cars I think your idea is an...

Re: Awining Brackets round 3

I am getting ready to buy an awning and have been wondering about brackets. Are these suitable for mounting a Fiamma to an SMB with PH? If so can I fling my hat into the pool or is it too late?

I will be there 4/27 having a PH installed on my old Quigley Ford. Planning on stopping in Marfa, Big Bend NP and perhaps a day trip to San Antonio in there as well.

Re: Free Rear Door Ladder in Golden, Colorado

I would like the ladder if I can have it. My brother in law lives in Boulder and I'm sure I can persuade him to pick it up and hold it for me. Would that be ok?

thanks,

Alex
