I've owned both the manual and electric tops and I would suggest that you be careful when lifting the roof when it's got much up there for weight. On my manual top we bent the lifting arms badly...

Pardon my ignorance... My Sprinter SMB gets 19mpg. My 2000 Ford Diesel SMB got 14mpg. Why would this Ford get better mileage? Different engine that was more efficient than more recent ones?
