I picked North because it was closest to home. I echo all of the positive comments about Nancy and Jim, and Chad has been great when I've called with questions after the build was done. That's not to...

Water Heater (How Badly Have I Messed Up?)

When I finished winterizing in October I kept thinking I forgot something. It was too easy. Now I remember what I forgot to do. I forgot to drain the hot water heater and bypass it before running...

Re: Wind and High Roof Sprinters

dbiggles, I may end up going that route. I would need to find someone here in this area to do the installation.

Re: Wind and High Roof Sprinters

I contacted Mercedes, and asked if the new crosswind assist can be retrofitted to a pre-2014 model. They got back to me and said, "No." They explained that it is on account of differences in the...

Re: Wind and High Roof Sprinters

It's 144. I wonder if I should have done dual rear tires rather than the singles (though it would reduce space inside).

Taking it out again in a week, so it will be interesting to see how it...

Re: Wind and High Roof Sprinters

Time for an update. I've had the Sprinter out on several long trips and several short ones. It runs better than it did the first time out, but still doesn't have that "on rails" or "dead on track"...

Re: Sprinter Check Engine Light

Similar thing happened to my other vehicle (not a Sprinter). I didn't close the cap enough "clicks" so it wasn't tight enough. Felt tight to me but apparently that wasn't sufficient.

When you say...

Re: Prostate cancer and Sportsmobiles

Bike riding can affect the reading. So can benign hypertrophy. So can infection. My PSA jumps up and down, all over the place. The urologist then tested something called "free PSA" and concluded...

Re: Funny bumper stickers

Imagine having the job of screening vanity plate requests. What might appear to be a totally innocent word could turn out to be horrible slang. How many of us are up to date on the entries in the...

Re: Funny bumper stickers

I had someone pass me on I-70, they pull back in and suddenly lose 20 mph off their speed. I pass them. She's on a cell phone. Two minutes later she's on my tail, passes me again. Did this four...

Re: My new Sprinter

For what it's worth, I, too, did not want any more height, so I opted for a Danhard interior a/c unit most of which is under the floor. Inside, it takes up about 15 inches of a cabinet that is about...

Re: Real customer service from SMB north

And I will echo the echo. As questions have popped up during the 10 months since the build, I've always received a response, quickly, each time. And an invite to stop by next time I go through the...

daveb, good find! Now, of course, I need to get an iphone or something a little less outdated than the thing I carry now that is called a phone.

Self-Tuning Weather Radio

Looking for ideas. I would like to find a weather radio that is "smart" enough to tune itself to the closest of the 7 frequencies as I drive across several states during the course of a day. I don't...

Re: Height of 2011 Sprinter High Roof

Good points. Maybe the measurement is to the top of the antenna. And perhaps the weight brings the vehicle down a bit. I doubt either one alone would account for 6 inches difference but perhaps both...

Height of 2011 Sprinter High Roof

I'm confused. MB says that the height of the 2500 high roof Sprinter is 107.5 inches. Out of curiosity I measured mine today. I measured in the back along the line where the doors meet. I measured on...
