Ben, it's the ideal vehicle for someone wanting to build an adventure van on their own. That's what I bought it to do. I figured I could get better pieces and parts, the kind and quality I wanted,...

Re: Fiamma vs Carefree
Angel, did they just bolt some flat pieces through your fiberglass top to hang the case on? Is yours a manual crank or motor driven? Whichever, have you had any problems with in and out? Did you...

Oops. Sorry, just noticed you had no winch. Questions about recovery still good in theory.
On re-reading thread, I did see for the dark I need to be able to set up a large LED work light or two...

Re: My Big Stuck
Congratulations for solving an emergency while soloing. You almost became our first adventure van camper to be swallowed forever in quicksand(mud)!
Did this make you wish you'd bought 4 MaxxTrax?...

Re: Fiamma vs Carefree
I, too, like the Cascadia awning as an alternate to Fiamma. HOWEVER, we have to compare things to thangs. The F45 S that most people have and kinda expensive is a much tougher item than the...

Looks like a possible-possible; but their site is horrible. No pix of what the thing looks like at the attachment point, how the poles fold up for storage, etc. I apologize for asking you to take...

Fiamma vs Carefree
I started this as a new thread because it's about awning choices and not just attachments. But it does seem to be ALL ABOUT brackets, which we're discussing in Zeta's continuing thread about how...

Re: Z's Fiamma Awning Brackets
I have money to send for a set of the real Z brackets if anyone ends up fabbing them and looks back at this thread. If so, PM me.

Re: 7.3 Instrument Cluster Tachometer
Okay, thanks. Unless I find more unattached wires hidden in the bundle, I'm going to ignore the inputs for "Tach Select 1" and "Tach Select 2". Shenrie's diagrams seemed to indicate he put a wire...

Re: 7.3 Instrument Cluster Tachometer
There are 2 pins in a connector on the back of an '01 F series for 4x4: One to tell the driver it is engaged, the other is to tell the driver he's in low range. On a 2WD pickup those pins are just...

Re: 7.3 Instrument Cluster Tachometer
Shenrie, I've been through my 1999 Econoline Wiring book stem to stern and can't find the wires we need to add to Connector A: Tach Select 1, Tach Select 2, and Tach Input. I notice you didn't hook...

Re: 7.3 Instrument Cluster Tachometer
I was being tongue-in-cheek because I never thought anyone would actually consider paying that. Therefore, I may have you young lads astray. $1,100 only gets you speed, tach, fuel, water temp, oil...

Re: 7.3 Instrument Cluster Tachometer
I was really salivating over the thought of a costume, digital dash. So I called the site you suggested. No, they don't have a packaged cluster that fits my 1999.5 E350.
However, they will make...

Re: 7.3 Instrument Cluster Tachometer
Okay, my 1999.5 E350 7.3 cluster is about to call an F2/350 7.3 cluster and they'll do lunch (or whatever clusters do together; it's hard to know hidden behind that dash, and all).
The F clusters...

I have an additional twist to this.
I'm about to swap my 1999.5 7.3 dash and cluster wo a tach with a 2014 E350 XLT van dash and cluster. Before I do the do, I've got to know how the wiring is...

If ONLY our multi-thousanded, progressive leaf sprung, dual reservoir shocked, locker differentialed, wide tired, air bagged, adventure vans could do this . . .
Makes me wonder if I let you guys...
