I don't think it's to tall since it's a diy assembly. Build it up inside the van, problem solved.
It might clear the wheel well since it will need to set out from the wall a little, since the van...

Will do. I'd like to mount it to the side of the van as the Freightliner had it, to keep it off the floor but that requires cutting into the interior walls. If I mount it to the floor it's a lot...

Yea plenty of switchs still available for my needs.
I like the idea of an Exterra style rack. I probably won't do a light bar. I had off road lights galore on my 4x4 Tacoma and never really used...
