Re: New BFGoodrich KO2 tire

Bellpilot - I run the same tire. The speed difference between the R and S is kind of silly to me. Who cares about 6 mph? The R is rated for 106 mph and the S 112 mph. I rarely drive over 80 mph...

Re: Winch wiring on diesel

eBay and Amazon to the rescue. Ordered 25 feet of 2/0 welding cable (just under $2/ft shipped), shrink wrap, and lugs online. Now to get out the tools and drop that hard to access heavy battery. ...

Winch wiring on diesel

Happy Sunday all. I'm getting ready to install the new winch in the new Aluminess bumper and wanted to see how others with winches handled the 12 volt power source.

The winch came with 6 foot...

Front Receiver Hitch Anyone?

Draw-Tite front receiver hitch with all mounting hardware. Was a direct bolt-on for our 2007 E-350 Quigley. Not sure how it would fit leaf-spring front ends.

Upgraded to Aluminess bumper and...

Re: Quigley and QuadVan - FOX Shox Ride Improvement Package

Totally stock 2007 Quigley setup. Ramsey noticed a bunch of things on my front suspension he hadn't seen on other Quigleys, so it sounds like they make a lot of changes on the production line. ...

Re: Quigley and QuadVan - FOX Shox Ride Improvement Package

Tires are 315/70-17 or almost 35". Have the 6.0 diesel that (knock on wood) has been trouble free aside from a turbo rebuild due to frozen vanes and bed plate leak both covered under warranty.

Re: Quigley and QuadVan - FOX Shox Ride Improvement Package

The before and after shots are not that dramatic because the van only sits about 3/4" higher. Here are a few shots.

Re: Quigley and QuadVan - FOX Shox Ride Improvement Package

Another satisfied RIP customer! :l1: Ramsey and Glen worked their magic yesterday on our 2007 Quigley van and all I can say is wow -- it's like a completely different vehicle. It actually has a...

Re: how many miles per gallon do you get?

I'll be the first to admit I was hoping for better mileage when we bought our diesel van. I track every tank and it has averaged 13 mpg since new but that includes a lot of around town driving. ...

Re: Too Ignorant to pick Wheels/Tires

I can't fault your logic Mike. I wrote the info directly off the wheel box.... I didn't measure the rims before the tires were mounted so I can't doublecheck the width.

Re: Too Ignorant to pick Wheels/Tires

17" rims aren't as popular as they were several years ago because of the trend of larger diameter wheels. Most domestic light truck manufacturers now come stock with 18" or 20" rims. As a result,...

Re: Best rear differential: Pt.2

Our 2007 RB passenger van doesn't have a full-floater. I read somewhere that the vans had kind of a hybrid rear differential. D70 axle tubes mated to a D60 pumpkin with funky 32 spline axles. ...

Re: Quigley Test Drive: 4x4 issues

Quigley recommends putting the transmission in neutral before switching in or out of 4wd low. Did you do that? Ours is sometimes hard to get in low and will occasionally grind a bit before going...

Re: 06 Quigley wheels.

I'll bet your rims are the 8x170 bolt pattern. My understanding is that Quigley switched to 8x170 in 2005 when the Superduty front axle changed from leaf to coil springs. 17" rims were new in...

Re: Is the diesel back?

I don't think the 6.0 diesel is back as it doesn't meet current emission standards and isn't used in any other current Ford vehicle. Ford was able to use the remaining 6.0 engines by paying a...

Re: Best shock for a comfortable ride? 1997 Stock E250

I don't know whether shocks will make a huge difference in the way your 3/4-ton van rides on the highway. The thing was designed as a work truck with a suspension expecting some weight to be...

Re: My SMB is dead in Death Valley

Most interesting about the brake light and no start issue. Our 2007 diesel will start in park with no foot on brake. I do it all the time to warm it up without having to jump up into the driver's...

Re: Transfer Flow 46-gallon fuel tank and 6.0 diesel question

I've talked with Aerotanks in Corona which is just up the freeway from me. They can build and install a custom tank for about $850, but the sales guy didn't think it would be as large capacity as...

Re: Suggestions for tire size for 17" rim in new 2010 EB 4WD

Interesting tire article. A couple of points to consider regarding heavy vans vs. the Landcrusier, Land Rover, Jeep extreme off-road crowd that article was primarily written for.

1. An E-rated...

TF believes the tank will fit my van with slight...

Thanks SDwindandsea. My tank definitely looks different and has another model number. Not looking good at this point.
