I have a similar problem with 2006 in cold weather. Have not worried much about sorting it out myself just yet as I have no warrantly and it runs just fine.

I have a 2005 SMB Sprinter and have noticed that my house batteries during cold weather are reading 12.4 +/- after no sun on the panel with in a few days. Because travel will be a bit intermittent...
