After a lot of headaches we finally finished a new low profile pop top available in both extended and regular body fords for all of the garageable van folks out there.
The cushions are not in in yet...

I to have made this repair to smbs in the past. This and bending bars seem to be a normal problem for these tops. You have to watch going with a bigger bolt the bars are already a borderline weak...

If you camp for more than a few days at a time without moving the van (charging the battery) i would say go with propane. Unless you have enough solar to keep it running and tend to camp in sunny...

I have a furnace in my van if you run triple wall insulation on the pop top it stays toasty warm in any temperature my experience with single wall fabric is about the same as sleeping...

Yes they are really hard to find the sx (what I have) is even harder to find it is not a dual sport it is a desert racer it does not have lights or anything else related to dual sports to keep it...
