Memory saver; power when battery disconnected

I've got a question about "memory savers," the dongles that go in an OBD port to provide power when the vehicle battery is disconnected.

I have to store my 2001 E250 for a bit and theft is a...

2001 E250 pulling "K" fuel pump relay for secure storage

I am considering pulling the fuel pump relay, which is "K" in my fuse box during storage of my van. I recall reading the discussions on the Cyclops security system which replaced this or another...

Maybe I'm misunderstanding you misunderstanding me, but the point is to defeat entry IF the hood latch is opened either from inside the vehicle or through the front grille.

IOW, to keep the hood...

Thanks. I did look at pins, but hard to find a place to put them.

But I may have lucked out: I have an antenna mount that fastens inside the bay but has a flange that fits through the gap between...

Still looking.

Lock for Ford E series hoods?

I am wondering if anyone knows of a hood lock system, hardware, hack, etc for the front hood of an E series, especially 2001 ish. I'm looking for something that would keep the hood locked even if...

Thanks Linda.

Turns out my situation is more complex than I thought.

I believe my 2001 E250 5.8L came with THREE cats: one on each side of the engine, approximately, and one to the back just...

I realize there's an older thread about cat thefts and brainstorming counter measures, but I too am thinking of the cat clamp on my 2001 E250 which is awaiting a replacement converter and insurance...

Interesting suggestions. Power is obviously an issue for me; I have to store the SMB at times and changing batteries every couple of weeks is sort of feasible, probably easier than whipping out the...

GPS vehicle tracker recommendations

I'm considering a GPS tracking system for the van.

It's for antitheft, but I'd also like something that conceivably would be like an Inreach or SPOT for the van itself; something I could share so...

I'd ask the "bulders" (I assume conversion company, like SMB) this question. But generally I'd have them do it. They may get better prices, and IIRC the van will come out as non commercial too.

And maybe 4Wheel Parts. I was skeptical, but they did some great work for me on my 4x4 E250, which had a bunch of custom stuff on it. So very labor intensive, and hard to find parts. I was impressed....

I started this thread, and yes, my Monstaliner top is in great shape. I had a few crack-like spots in the back due to flex in fiberglass, but that wasn't a Monstaliner problem and they were easily...

Good question. Every battery does more poorly in cold, but lithiums can be destroyed by charging when cold, as you note. The BMS prevents that. I don't camp in areas where it's sub -32 inside my van...

Truck campers can be nice, but also kind of wobbly offroad unless you get like the Four Wheel Camper types. The ones that go on a flatbed type chassis are really nice; more room.

I dunno about...

I'm not sure of what charging parameters the Renogy likes. They should supply you with that info. Then what to do next depends on how you charge your battery: solar? alternator? shore? Many devices...

I don't recall that the 1250 required a setting for the battery capacity, but it certainly does for type. And if your battery bank is as you say, both lithium and AGM, I don't think this would work...
