Re: 2003 4x4 V10 SMB EB E350 with Voyager Top: $46,000

Would it be easy to add that 3rd captains seat back in? Looks like the seatbelt adapter is in-place still, correct?

Thanks,

Re: Unused 4x4 capability - hazards?

When I purchased my 2006 in 2010, the owner never used the 4x4. I had zero problems with the hubs or transfer case other than regular maintenance. It was a west coast van. Good luck!

Rattle noise from T-case?

Mine is the same way. Had it looked at fluids changed, helped a bit, but still noticeable.

Re: Boulder or Denver CO mechanic recommendation?

New u-joints/yolk installed by Boulder Offroad. Great service, cheaper than other quotes I got and very, very knowledgeable about 4x4 vans. I will use again in the future.

Boulder Bound

I am moving my family to the Boulder area in September. Look forward to meeting others in Colorado and exploring with the SMB. Wonder if I need to change my user name?

Seatbelt Question?

We added a 3rd chair as well. It's worked really well and is removable if needed.

Re: Basketcase

Be careful with the net, I left mine on my van and it deteriorated really quickly and is now just falling apart. Yakima won't replace.

Re: 2006 SMB 4x4 Shock Replacement

As an update, had the work done and shocks installed last Friday. 4 Wheel Parts did a good job and had an installation discount on the web that applied. The new OME shocks are better, the van has...

Re: 2006 SMB 4x4 Shock Replacement

Thanks for the replies, Sportsmobile indicated that the Old Man Emu's were getting too difficult to obtain and made the switch. Now I am hesitant, seems the consensus is that the Rancho's aren't that...

Re: 2006 SMB 4x4 Shock Replacement

Re: 2006 SMB 4x4 Shock Replacement

Roonie,

I am at about 107K, the front of the van is "bouncy" sometimes at freeway speeds. Further, I need new ball joints / tie rods and Peter at Sportsmobile recommended taking it to 4Wheel...
