Re: Wanted: SMB Ford budget up to 45k Ready to buy

I'm about ready to post mine here, you're welcome to have a first look. Family (caretaking) obligations are making any trips this summer unlikely. I am starting at $47,500, but that seems close...

Re: Is Xantrex battery monitor best solution for watching lo

No Kidding!!! In the last 3 months of searching the forum, reading and re-reading both Greg's and DaveB's posts, I've learned more about auto-electrical than I ever thought I'd need or want. I was...

Re: Is Xantrex battery monitor best solution for watching lo

Thanks for the mention of the Magnum ME-BMK, Greg. Today I was scheduled to visit a local solar installer (AM Solar) for a fresh panel or two, they happen to stock Magnum product and had a monitor so...

Is Xantrex battery monitor best solution for watching loads?

I'm gearing up to have the 60k service done on the van and wanted to do some preventative maintenance on the charging system while i'm at it. Based on what I have extracted from this forum and advice...

Re: Expanded mesh decking on aluminess rack, any reasons not

Thanks for all the input and feedback. A removable deck would definitely be best of both worlds, and zip ties the perfect fastener. Sounds like the wide spaced slats are a bit tricky to get around on...

Re: 2000 E350 Silver $3,500

I'm pretty sure that silver EB has been sitting there since well before the holidays, I admire it every time I go by. That may factor into what you could offer, if you're thinking that way. Though...

Re: Expanded mesh decking on aluminess rack, any reasons not

Hmmm... hadn't thought of sleeping up there with the top up :b1:

Nice catch, Scotty. Actually, that's on my list of dangerous things to try. I've read most of the threads regarding overloaded...

Re: Expanded mesh decking on aluminess rack, any reasons not

I really like the idea of a removable deck and was going to ask Kenny ( Aluminess) if that was possible. Seems easy enough: u-bolts and plates around the perimeter. I'm just guessing, but since the...

Expanded mesh decking on aluminess rack, any reasons not to?

Lots of rack chatter lately, hope this isn't redundant.

I'm scheduled to get a new PH installed at SMB west in March and will also have an aluminess rack installed at that time. I'm nearly set on...

Re: Should i run away from a remanufactured 6.0 PSD?

What I meant by "bail" is just that, walk away from a non-refundable deposit. Seems a bit extreme now, but in the moment it made some sense. If the seller is comfortable not disclosing a major piece...

Re: 2005 sportsmobile eb50 diesel 4x4 $45,000 (SOLD)

As Glenn said, that was a super easy transaction considering how momentous it was (for me at least). I've been lurking here for years, gleaning what I could and building a meager reserve of info....

Re: 2005 sportsmobile eb50 diesel 4x4 $45,000

I think macmcintire has a good point: why help yourself to seconds when there are some at the table who have yet to eat. I appreciate the consideration, and will not waste the opportunity - 3 hour...
