Thank you guys for the valuable information. That was just what I was looking for and when it comes time to replace tires I will put on one of the types mentioned. I now have 180K on my 97 -E-250...

Clearly I have not given sufficient information.
tires are 285 75/16
4x4 is Quigley
GVW? base wt, say 7200 lbs , plus top and interior. I would have no idea of the total.

Thanks Herb and everyone else. I have been running commercial fishing boats in AK for 30 years so I have intimate knowledge of diesels, hydraulics and 12 volt systems which helps for the scrutiny....
