I researched why back pressure was important, at least for the Harley.
Because of the cam profile it turns out that with reduced back pressure, the incoming fuel/air charge is “swept” right on...

No headers, no roof rack, stock size tires, pressure's about 60 lbs, rig weighs 7,600 lbs, round trip of nearly 400 miles with the "up hills" equaling the "down hills".
The reason I'm thinking...

Exhaust Backpressure for 5.4 V8 required?
I have a 2003 E350 EB with the 5.4 V8. Low mileage, runs perfectly, tuned "spot on", etc. Yet I'm getting only 14.3 mpg [regular gas] driving 55 - 60 mph via cruise control, with no "jack rabbit"...

Completed Project, how do I post 11 photos?
I just finished installing a "pre-oil" [AccuSump] system on my Ford 5.4 V8 Sporty. I documented each step with 11 photos and will write a narrative. But I don't want to clog up everyone's computer...

The shop owner [Marcelo] explained that the lightweight 5 - 20 oil was for "mileage, but at the expense of engine wear" which Ford doesn't care about. He said that Ford would rather sell you a new...

What's the best way to vent a toilet / shower compartment? Electric fan/vent? Advice on which fan/vent [manufacturer?]? I'm assuming that the compartment door will seal the compartment.

Because everyone that I've talked to with the 5.4 is getting 15 - 17 mpg.
I've had a number of people tell me that the V-10 gets bad mileage. But also a couple of people who say they get good...
