propane line/fittings and exhaust for fridge

I installed a tri-power (110v, 12v, propane) fridge in my van this week. I have 2 questions:

1. I did not have enough length in the exhaust tubing to vent out the side so I vented out the bottom...

Yes, sorry for the confusion. I assumed all norcold rv fridges were "tri-power". Mine can be ran on 120v, 12v, and propane. Model is 3163
