Reason for initially bringing this question up was that my local garage wired a trans/fan cooler into fuse #54 under the hood which on my truck was empty. Little known to the mechanic, (or myself)...

just had a trans cooler installed, which called for a "key on/accessory" connection with its own 20 amp fuse. guy who did install wired it into the main (engine bay) fuse box. There is also fuse...
