Perhaps a faulty assumption on my part. Does it come out under your jack? I think I can now see the hook to the winch in your picture.

The above method will not work if one has a winch mounted inside the bumper.

I did the same thing but mine still rattled. I finally got tired of listening to it. Plus now that I am living in snowy Wyoming I was concerned about he jack rusting.

In the picture below you can see that I mounted my HighLift jack on the top bar of my bumper. I kept it there for about two years. But I eventually got tired of the horrible rattling from the jack...

Scraped off 1 1/2 feet of snow from the roof of my Sportsmobile so I can get my solar panel to recharge my batteries. Hopefully the solar panel still works. I'm planning on doing some winter camping...

The windshield on my SMB cracked in the cold Wyoming weather. My poor Las Vegas baby was not used to this chilly weather.
