They extend down 27-3/4" from the ceiling. The 1" diameter tubes are slightly shorter than that due to the hinge at the top. I think that I got them when we had a manual top before retrofitting an...

We installed these supports that we got from SMB and use them primarily when we are snow camping or have a load on top. I don't know if they still make them...call them.
