Mike is correct about the thermostat . We have driven thru the Dakota's at temperatures reaching 10 below zero and the trans worked fine , starting up the engine in the morning at these...

Go to page 16 in my Gallery , several different angles of the Air Scoop except for the Diamond Plate and Screen the same as mine . I just reconfigured mine by knocking down the lower front...

You experienced nearly identical results to my Air Box installation , not a huge change but every little change in lowering our operating temperatures is important . I haven't seen one yet but...
