Here is the pick of the mounting point. I put some duct tape on it to limit the damage. The rip in the door is under the vertical piece of tape

I'll probably add a plate of steel to the inside...

I have the mount from SPM. It hangs on the rear hinges, but bolts to the door skin near the door handle. At the bolts is where the door ripped open. I'll try to take a pic today and...

Spare Tire Carrier Rip in Door

Has anyone else had the spare tire mount tear open a hole in the door?

My plan is to repair it with a plate of steel and fiberglass it on.
