For off-road I would use the 1-up rack and once I kill my Thule I will be shaping up to it.

My friend is closing his bike shop and has a couple racks that might work for your hitch on the cheap..

Anaheim hills bikes 714 779 7521. He has some good deals on whats in the shop.
