That's just about as bad as an injector, since you have to remove the mounts and drop the motor to get the valve cover off a 6.0 in an E-350. :k7:

It was right around 108,000. We carry a lot of weight and drive off road a lot, so ours might have gone quicker than others will. There did seem to be some signs of wear on the unbroken side where...

There are separate axles left and right, but I'm not sure what that means for whether it's semi or full float.

I'm no expert on axles, but I believe it was the shaft? It broke right where it hits the bearings, and the other side was worn as well. Pretty scary stuff maintaining control when it snapped, but...

So the axle broke on our 2006 Ford while driving down the highway this morning. We didn't crash, bit it was tense there for a second. The shop says it broke due to wear and stress from the weight. ...
