My "sealant" was NOT holding the battery in, it is just enough to keep the battery from sliding around in the tray. Also both of my zip ties were broken.

You can put a bit of cut to lenght heater hose...

You can put a bit of cut to lenght heater hose over the wire if you want to have some better life than the cheap plastic automotive conduit.

How many miles on the van? (e.g. the wiring)
