Reflectix works well for the top in 2 ways, when it's up you line the canvas and it provides some extra insulation. When it's down, if you store the reflectix between top and PH bed it provides some...

The top will stay dry inside even up, although you want to be sure to dry it out if it goes down wet in the morning.
