The pictures you select become everybody's random images. I don't know about the not loading fully, I have that problem with the larger pictures when my internet is slow.

It should be working (you probably noticed some images cycling).

To add images you think characterize the forum (remember these will be people's first impression in many cases) use the "Nominate"...
