furnace placement

thanks, that's an interesting idea but it's done for the most part now. Furnace bought, cabinet built, almost plumbed in.

furnace placement

Do they dry well? I bet they dry well.[/quote]

The furnace is well insulated, they don't even get warm.

But, the refrig, directly across the aisle, gets the full benefit of the furnace output!...

Re: furnace placement

Dhally, thanks. I got it worked out this weekend. I'm about 3.5' from my filler, and about 1' higher. The vent will be right above the left wheel well right in the center of it, 10" from the...

Bigvans, Lol! Thanks for your support! :b5:

Jamie, not a bad idea but probably not very effective. This is a direct discharge only anyway, a 7912 I think. I really don't want to fool with...

Re: furnace placement

Jamie, that's what I'm doing, and I do have rear air to work around. I actually might put it in the back and use a fan to blow warm air towards the front when I need to, I haven't ruled that out. ...

Re: furnace placement

I'm addressing the issue, and yes it does wreck my floorplan. At present I'm considering putting it in the top of my kitchen counter module (just below countertop level) which will be about 2 ft off...

Re: furnace placement

OK, got home from work and broke out the book on the Atwood furnace. Nothing at all in it about placement near a fuel tank or fuel filler. I'm not trying to 'beat' this, I just want to read up on...

Re: furnace placement

Well, thanks guys. I'm still considering.

A furnace in this van is not something we really HAVE to have, I just wanted to build in more conveniences than I've ever had before, and now it's...

Re: furnace placement

I think sitting (collecting vapors) would be more dangerous than driving.

Doesn't make it a good idea. :b1: I recently noted that my spare fuel tray swings to the side of my furnace and...

furnace placement

Also, I'm not going to have a plumbed out system at this point and maybe never. There will be a quick connect under the floor and no mounted propane tank, so it could never come on while driving, but...

furnace placement

Hmmmmm. Thanks.
Im not sure I'm not going to do it anyway, but that's good to know. That really puts me in a bind. No other place for it.

furnace placement

I have had to change my furnace plans due to the location of a factory seat belt that I need to keep. I was going to put it right behind the right rear barn door, where I've seen many, but the vent...
