Re: Aluminess Rear Bumper Install

My van did start it's life as a wheelchair lift passenger van. The wheelchair lift was bolted to the floor inside the rear van. I've never seen any evidence of a rear bumper type accessory that...

Re: Aluminess Rear Bumper Install

I just took a tape measurer out to see if I could remount the bumper using the existing holes in the bumper. It's not going to work because it would raise the bumper up almost 2". The back doors...

Re: Aluminess Rear Bumper Install

Pictures of the bumper mounting holes as promised. As you can see in this semi in focus photo the mounting holes are side by side. After double checking the way we mounted the bumper I noticed the...

Re: Aluminess Rear Bumper Install

I've never been able to get the time off for a grand trip. It seems like I turn down invites every year though. One of these days I'll be able to do the grand. Have a great trip and bring back...

Re: Aluminess Rear Bumper Install

The frame rails on my van don't have top and bottom bolt holes. The holes are side by side. The inside holes lined up perfectly. There wasn't a hole in the bumper that was even close to matching...

Re: Aluminess Rear Bumper Install

I've never seen a rack like that. It looks like a sweet setup. I'll have to check them. How did you get that third 10L MWC on the rack? The first two were easy but when I tried to get the third...

Re: Aluminess Rear Bumper Install

That bike sounds like a keeper for sure. I doubt if I'll ever get rid of my Waterford. They are sweet machines.

Re: Aluminess Rear Bumper Install

Update to show a bike on the bike rack.

I added a Yakima steelhead to the Aluminess rack. The attached picture is a shot of a 66cm Waterford 2200 on the rack. The seat is below the roofline but...

Re: Aluminess Rear Bumper Install

It's Aluminess's Jerry Can Box. Stock item but fairly new. The 3 MFC's fit in nice and snug. A little to snug because they wouldn't fit with the Easy pour 2 handle straps I bought and installed on...

Aluminess Rear Bumper Install

I got the rear bumper out of the box and installed on the back of my van this morning. There were a couple of minor issues during the install that I think are related to the van being a '92. 1992...
