If your current non-Ford seats are mounted to the original Ford pedestals, wouldn't they fit the swivel with same specs?

That's exactly right. I swivels all the way around to point straight back. Or at any degree for that matter. Driving? Make sure the back of the seat doesn't block your view to the passenger side...

I want to add a swivel seat base to the passenger side of my van. I see in some threads it raises the height of the seat. Is this true? Who supplies SM with seat bases? What is the best one to use?
