I only wish my roof was flat.... Damm thing has more curves and contours then the walls of our E-Series!
Doing with the faux mounts was the only way to get a level way...

What about the faux gutter mounts from Thule?
I have them, while not very elegant they have been 100% solid over 3 years. (I made a large backing plate for the inside)...
