That was the same problem I had. Not a large enough flat space to easily set down the phone (I do have the level app on it and use it for other things). The bubble level only needs a small space...

I use one of the small round bubble levels (around 2" diameter, and $3). I have a place on the console that I have determined is level, and I put it there - I can watch it as I back and fill looking...

I thought of this thread yesterday at Expo West when I saw this stack of Lynx blocks. Artful!

BTW, it was under a super nice SMB that was converted by another company (don't have name to hand)...

One thing I don't quite see on those cool-looking red ramps: Do they seem to be intended for when you need the exact same amount of leveling in each wheel? I often will have, say, three Lynx blocks...

I use the Lynx levelers too. They can be found at Wal-Mart if you want to pick up a set locally (if Wal-Mart can be considered local...).

The one time I don't like the Lynx as much is once you...
