Does Cable gauge matter as much for the ground as it does for the Positive leads?

I used 2AWG for both Main battery and House battery to ACR connections.

So it looks like the Blue Sea 7622 that I just installed over the weekend doesn’t like the Ground connection for the House battery. It’s currently connected to the wheel well. whoever installed it...
