Re: Fight: Water Pump vs. Battery
No.
Was the old battery connected to shore power (the intellipower charger) for extended periods?
Nope. I rarely charge on shore power, and if so its only for a couple...

Re: Fight: Water Pump vs. Battery

Re: Fight: Water Pump vs. Battery
No. However it's (eventually) being replaced by the Tripplite RV1512 I have sitting in my garage. If I'd stop starting other projects I might get that in there one of these days.

Finally got around to putting the new 'good' battery in.. I had swapped for a regular lead acid 4D, and waited for the warranty AGM to show up.. Also wanted to make sure I wasn't having any issues...

Seems the first battery was just crappy... Put new battery in and there's no draw when nothing is on, everything appears to be working fine.

Re: Fight: Water Pump vs. Battery
Yes, still some work to do on the drawing.. the Xantrex has 5 wires from the shunt/battery terminals, and I don't remember which. I also want to add ground wires, calling out where things are...

Re: Fight: Water Pump vs. Battery
Quick look on the Xantrex.. showing -0.1A.. turn on led ceiling light, jumps to -0.5A, so it's working properly.. but I don't reckon 0.1A draw (maybe the Xantrex itself?) is causing any serious...

Re: Fight: Water Pump vs. Battery
Yes, solar charger has temperature sensor and it is hooked up as directed..
I pull the alarm fuse when parked, so there is no draw from that.
As for the battery, I don't know it's an AGM, but I...

So I put this together.. kind of for future reference (once I flesh it out more)..
Still no issues.. no draw based on clamp meter, solar and alternator appear to charge it correctly.

I was just checking all wires leading to/from positive terminal.. trying to see if there was some reason the old battery would have died. Because it shouldn't have died to quickly.
But as far as...
