Yes, I rarely plug in, so 12v only would be fine.

And I only have 300 watts of panels. 1000 would be nice though!

That trick worked for like a week.. now I am back to it running way too much and drawing down the battery.

So after simply pulling it out and checking connections and making sure it was clean, it now works much better. Didn't run nearly as much this past weekend. It's fixed!?

Finally had a chance to pull he fridge. It was pretty remarkably clean back there. All connections looked good, fan was working, so I guess maybe it's something worth the fridge. Worth trying to...

My normal procedure is cool it down either overnight, or for a few hours while driving. Everything that goes in is cold. So that's not my issue.
