I'm not a fan of the Crosstek, just because it feels a little cheap, and doesn't get great fuel economy for its size. But.... It proved itself on I-5's crumbing infrastructure....

If you can't drive, then I wouldn't even start it. If you don't get a full drive cycle in, all you are doing is introducing moisture into the engine which alone is corrosive, but some of that...

Honda Element? Super reliable and fuel efficient. Deceptively roomy.

Astro vans were never all that reliable, and I can't imagine they've gotten better with age. I think I'd take an older Toyota...
